PAUL DINI RETURNS TO BATMAN COMICS
by Jennifer Contino (Pulse)
Writer Paul Dini has confirmed on his livejournal that he's working on some Batman comics in the new year. The writer also teased another project.
Dini wrote:
I'll be writing a ton of new Batman comics this year, along with a very special graphic novel starring two DCU darlings near and dear to my heart. Check back here as I will be posting more details soon.
Although Dini's only been producing a handful of comics in recent years - most featuring his free-spirited and feisty Christmas favorite, Jingle Belle; the talented scribe hasn't exactly been out of the industry. Dini's working in another medium. He's been one of the forces behind Krypto the Superdog, Duck Dodgers, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and one of the most popular new television shows that feels like it could be a comic book, ABC's Lost.
It's been several years since Dini has written a solo Batman comic book story. One of the last ones he wrote was The Bet in Batman: Gotham Knights # 14. One of the last DC stories he wrote was JLA: Liberty and Justice.
He promised to reveal more details in his livejournal, but just who do you think or hope Dini's "darlings near and dear" to him are?
