Review:
Clocking at at least 400 pages, this baby is quite
thick and just by looking at it, it seems a little
bit daunting.
But I tell you now, Sparks: An Urban Fairytale is
one the greatest and character driven graphic novel
I have ever read!
Eventhough the premise is quite simple (out of fish
girl accidentally creates/brought a robot to life -
robot falls in love with creator), the book is really
NOT just about that. Actually, its just a back drop
of one of the more complicated growing-up stories you
will ever read.
Sparks: An Urban Fairytale book lets you feel the
whole shebang of emotions - anger, laughter, irritation,
sadness, etc.
Honestly, I thought the book would be boring (the
first chapter i think i got bored coz the plot was
sort of a cliche) but after i get passed the first
chapter, man, i was not able to put the book down (eventhough
i still did coz my baby was crying). The tone of the
book drastically changed for me. It was like watching
people's lives (with very real problems) unfold before
my eyes.
This book is simply AMAZING. Go buy it NOW!!!
