Review:
So you loved the great fairy tales like Beauty and
the Beast, Snow White and the Three Little Pigs. Then
you MUST read this adorable book.
Just imagine ALL of your fairy tale characters are
now living in New York City after being exiled from
their land by the Adversary. Imagine Snow White as
this bitchy sort-of vice mayor who runs the new Fable
Town. How about the previous lovable Prince Charming,
who is now divorced with Snow White because she caught
him having sexual affairs with BOTH Sleeping Beauty
and Red Rose (Snow White’s sister).
If you think Fables is just a parody of our favorite
characters then think again. In the first book, Red
Rose has been brutally murdered and it’s up to
our favorite Bigby (also known as the Big Bad Wolf
but now acting as the sheriff of Fable Town) to solve
this mystery.
With a very enchanting premise and great art, you
really can’t go wrong with this magical book.
