ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN

Writer: Brian Bendis
Artist: Mark Bagley
Genre: Superheroes/Adventure
Volumes: 1-3
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Website: www.marvelcomics.com
Recommended for All Ages

Reviews:

High school loser Peter Parker was accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider during one of his school filed trips, thus empowering him with spider-like abilities.

Now aside from coping up with school work and his love life, he also helps the city of New York fights super villains and ordinary criminals (after school hours of course).

If you liked the movie (you did see it, right? If not, go see it first!), then this is the perfect comics for you to start with. Brian Bendis captures the whole teen superhero dilemma perfectly.

I would go further to say that the comics is much, much better than the movie coz all of the characters are well fleshed out and the dialogue is dead-on. You'd think Bendis is just a teenager.

Other works:
Brian Bendis: Powers (Image Comics), Daredevil (Marvel Comics), Jinx (Image Comics)
