Reviews:
Obviously, the book is about the Son of Superman.
But not-so obvious is the fact that Chaykin /Tischman
has crafted a wonderful "what-if" superman
story. The characters feel all too
familiar but somehow the writers were able to add-in
just the right amount of twist
to make this story fresh. Aside from getting a glimpse
of what superman's son would look/act like, the reader
is also indulged with a future/alternate, "cool" version
of the Justice League as well as the more diabolical
Lex Luthor.
But let's not forget about the artwork of the book.
Well, what can i say....i love J.H Williams III art!!!!
It's so beautiful. It's like viewing classical art.
'Nuff said.
There are a few superman stories that i highly recommend
to new readers and fortunately, SON OF SUPERMAN is
one of them.
Other works:
H. Chaykin: American Flag
J.H Williams III: Promethea (ABC/DC Comics)
