To properly describe Doom Patrol, just mix the X-men
concept with and type of drugs. Coz that’s what
Doom Patrol really is.
One peek at the main characters and you know what
I mean. There’s Crazy Jane who is suffering from
64 multiple personalities each having his/her own superhuman
powers; Robotman who was once a race car driver but
because of an accident, his brain was transplanted
to a mechanical robot; and then, Rebis who is actually
a metamorphasis of 3 entities (man, woman and a sort
of negative energy).
Aside from that Doom Patrol battles the most colorful
(read: weirdest) type of villains like the Scissormen,
Red Jack (a alternate version of Jack the Ripper) and
the Brotherhood of Dada.
In summary: Doom Patrol = Weirdness = Very cool stories
= Highly Recommended
