Reviews:
Ever since I was a child I was not quite fond of Batman (coz he has no super powers whatsoever!) and i certainly
don't like anthologies. Then a friend of mine (thanks
Anthony!) lent me a Batman book entitled Batman:
Black and White.
My initial reaction was, "oookay, let's see what
so special about Batman." So since this is just
an anthology book (which means the book is composed
of different short stories), I decided to try two short
stories and see if I should continue to read the book
or not.
So I started with the short stories penned by the
writers I'm familiar with (i.e Neil Gaiman and Bruce
Timm). Fortunately though, I HIGHLY enjoyed those two
stories. So I tried another one by Dennis O'Neil (i
think) and that too was GREAT. And within 2-3 hours
i finished the whole damn book!!!!
Basically, if you don't like Batman I can guarantee
you that in the 15+ short stories included in this
book (written & drawn by some of the greatest artist/writers
of any generation) you will find 3-5 stories that will
definitely change your mind about the Dark Knight.
But if you like Batman, this book SHOULD be included
in your bookshelf!
