Reviews:

Ever wondered what it would feel like if you lived in Metropolis where you get to see Superman fight the super villain of the day? Or do you know how superhero's sidekicks gets picked or trained? Or what would a super powered child born in a superhero family feel when she can't even play hopscotch with normal kids?

These are some of the questions, Busiek tries to give light to in this highly criticized series of his.

Busiek admits that he has always loved superhero comics even though there's already hundreds of superhero comics being published monthly. Usually, superhero comics are done to showcase the adventures of the hero or the villain but fortunately, Busiek decided to show the superhero aspect of the book, Astro City, from a different perspective - from the perspective of the ordinary people.

If your tired superhero comics or want to introduce a friend to comics, i suggest you give him/her ANY of the three Astro City volumes that is available right now coz i GUARANTEE you that you haven't read anything like this.

Other works:
Kurt Busiek: Marvels, Thunder Bolts, Avengers (Marvel)
Brent Anderson: Rising Stars (Top Cow/Image)
